  Abstract:  Note sur le statut de la philosophie dans l’antiquité tardive. Pour bien situer la place de la philosophie à la fin de l’antiquité, il faut préalablement évaluer la pratique philosophique de cette période. Pierre Hadot a magistralement montré les défauts des histoires de la philosophie qui méconnaissent ces données de base et les a corrigées en soulignant le rôle des exercices philosophiques/spirituels qui façonnent un mode de vie spécifique.
